Good product Good router, nice quality.Wish the LED's were a little brighter. Better than nothing at all.
There is plenty of power for so small a power tool. The soft start feature is helpful too. But it is little only in size and therefore ease of operation.
Instead of my larger Bosch or Hitachi routers I can quickly ease edges and do cut outs off the table and basically hand route my workpiece. I have a number of Makita power tools and this one will be used often. Also, the led worklights add much needed see ability to my routing.
I'm impressed with this little router. For me, the 3707FC fills a much needed gap. Very satisfied with the quality and performance.
The base easily and quickly comes off through the use of a latch and then changing bits is no problem at all. So far, it has not bogged down in anything I've used it on.
It has plenty of power for mortising of small hinges, chamfering of edges This is really a small router, easily held and controlled with one hand. It's one limitation is lack of precise adjustment of depth of cut.
clear base is nice too.and this model has a bearing guide base attachment, for bits without a bearing, if you desire to use it,or you can take it off. the led lights work nicely, and I believe the description doesn't mention the soft start feature.very smooth and quiet.this makita doesn't even move in your hand when you turn it on. i have only owned it for a couple weeks, however comparing it to my experience to the the PC 310, it is much quiter, lighter and the feel in my hand is amazing. i plan on using it as a cut out tool as well, so light weight and a solid one handed grip was essential to me.
